Recovery iPhone Widget Does not Match the App
If the Recovery value on your iPhone widget does not match the app, try the following steps:
Step 1: Wake Up the Widget
Tap on the widget to refresh it and allow it to sync with the iPhone app. If it still doesn’t match, proceed with the next steps.
Step 2: Ensure Background App Refresh is On
On iPhone:
- Open Settings.
- Go to General → Background App Refresh.
- Confirm that Background App Refresh is turned on for both the system and Athlytic.
Step 3: Remove the Widget
- Press and hold the widget.
- Tap Remove Widget and confirm.
- You’ll re-add it later after troubleshooting.
Step 4: Reset Recovery Preferences
On iPhone:
- Open Athlytic.
- Go to More tab → Recovery Preferences.
- Toggle your preferred settings off and back on (or on, then back off).
Step 5: Force Quit Athlytic and Reopen
On iPhone:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button on older iPhones).
- Locate Athlytic in the app switcher.
- Swipe up to force close the app.
- Reopen Athlytic to refresh the data.
Step 6: Re-add the Widget
On iPhone:
- Press and hold on your home screen until the icons jiggle.
- Tap the + (Add Widget) button.
- Search for Athlytic and select the Recovery widget.
- Place it on your home screen.
After completing these steps, the widget should now display the correct Recovery value.
Reinstall the App (If the Issue Persists)
If the widget still does not display the correct Recovery value, try the following:
- Delete Athlytic from your iPhone.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall Athlytic from the App Store.
- Reopen the app and set up your widget again.
