Subscription not detected on Apple Watch

If you’ve subscribed to Athlytic Pro on your iPhone, but your Apple Watch is not recognizing the subscription, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Restart the iPhone & Apple Watch Apps

  1. Force quit the Athlytic app on iPhone:
  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button on older iPhones).
  • Locate Athlytic and swipe up to close it.
  1. Reopen the Athlytic app on iPhone—this should send your active subscription to the Watch.
  2. Open Athlytic on your Apple Watch and check if Pro features are unlocked.

If this does not work, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Restart Your Apple Watch

  1. Power off your Apple Watch.
  2. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
  3. Check if Athlytic Pro is now unlocked.

Step 3: Check iCloud Settings

Athlytic requires iCloud to sync the subscription status from your iPhone to your Apple Watch.

Ensure iCloud Is Enabled for Athlytic

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap [Your Name]iCloud.
  3. Scroll down and make sure Athlytic is turned ON for iCloud.

Step 4: Reset iCloud for Athlytic & Restart Your Watch

If iCloud is enabled but the Watch still doesn’t detect the subscription, try resetting iCloud for Athlytic:

  1. Open Settings[Your Name]iCloud.
  2. Turn OFF iCloud for Athlytic.
  3. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back ON.
  4. Power off and restart your Apple Watch.

This usually fixes most sync issues between the iPhone and Watch.

Step 5: Enable Background App Refresh

If Athlytic does not refresh properly in the background, the subscription status may not sync to the Apple Watch.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap GeneralBackground App Refresh.
  3. Ensure Background App Refresh is ON at the top.
  4. Scroll down and make sure Athlytic is toggled ON.

Step 6: Ensure iCloud Drive Is Enabled

If iCloud Drive is disabled, Athlytic may not sync the subscription correctly to the Apple Watch.

1.Open Settings on your iPhone.

2.Tap [Your Name]iCloud.

3.Make sure iCloud Drive is turned ON.

Uninstall & Reinstall Athlytic

If the issue persists, try reinstalling Athlytic.

  1. Delete Athlytic from your iPhone (this will also remove it from your Apple Watch).
  2. Restart your iPhone.
  3. Reinstall Athlytic from the App Store.
  4. Open the app and tap Restore Purchase in the More tab.

This will not erase any data since all information is stored in Apple Health.

Unpair & Repair Your Apple Watch (Last Resort)

If nothing else works, unpairing and repairing your Apple Watch often fixes subscription syncing issues.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap All Watches (top left).
  3. Tap the (i) icon next to your watch → Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
  4. Restart both your iPhone and Watch.
  5. Pair your Apple Watch again and reinstall Athlytic.

For some reason, unpairing and repairing the Watch resolves most persistent syncing issues.
