Missing or Incorrect Calories (Energy Consumed)

If your calorie intake from a nutrition tracking app (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, or Lose It!) isn’t showing up or is incorrect in Athlytic, the issue is likely due to data not syncing properly with Apple Health. Since Athlytic pulls all nutrition data directly from Apple Health, your nutrition app needs to sync and correctly add the data to Apple Health.

Step 1: Ensure Your Nutrition Tracking App Is Synced with Apple Health

To allow Athlytic to access calorie intake data, your nutrition tracker must be connected to Apple Health and have write permissions enabled.

How to Sync Your Nutrition App with Apple Health

  1. Open your nutrition tracking app (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Lose It!).
  2. Navigate to their SettingsApps & Devices.
  3. Find Apple Health and tap Connect (or enable syncing).
  4. Follow the prompts to grant permission to write Nutrition data to Apple Health.

Important: Most nutrition apps only write new data moving forward after syncing—past data will not sync retroactively.

Step 2: Check if Your Calories Are Being Saved in Apple Health

Since Athlytic reads all nutrition data from Apple Health, you need to confirm that your nutrition tracker is correctly writing calorie intake.

How to Check Nutrition Data in Apple Health

  1. Open the Apple Health app (white icon with a heart).
  2. Tap BrowseNutritionDietary Energy (Calories).
  3. Scroll down and tap Show All Data.

✔️ If your calorie data is there, Athlytic should be able to read it.

If calorie data is missing, your nutrition tracker is not syncing correctly with Apple Health.

Fix: Try disconnecting and reconnecting your nutrition tracker to Apple Health (see Step 1) to force a resync.

Step 3: Fixing Duplicate or Incorrect Calorie Entries

Some users experience duplicate or inaccurate calorie entries in Apple Health due to nutrition app syncing issues. This can cause incorrect calorie totals in Athlytic.

How to Delete Duplicate or Incorrect Calories in Apple Health

  1. Open Apple HealthBrowseNutritionDietary Energy (Calories).
  2. Scroll down and tap Show All Data.
  3. Review the individual calorie entries.
  4. Swipe left on any incorrect or duplicate entries and tap Delete.

After deleting incorrect calorie entries, refresh Athlytic, and it should now display the correct calorie count.
