Why are My Steps Different in Athlytic?
Athlytic does not calculate its own steps. It simply totals whatever step data is saved in Apple Health for that day.
If your step count in Athlytic is higher than what you see on your Apple Watch, it almost always means another device or app is also writing steps to Apple Health (e.g., Oura Ring, Ultrahuman Air Ring, Whoop sync apps, treadmills, etc.).
To fix this:
Turn off “Steps” for any device/app other than your Apple Watch.
iPhone → Health App → Sharing → Apps → Select your other wearable → toggle off the app's ability to write 'steps'.
Once duplicate sources are turned off, Athlytic and your Apple Watch will match.
Athlytic only reflects the step data Apple Health provides.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Athlytic support for further assistance.
